It was a true honor to be part of the third annual USAC Karting Battle at the Brickyard, inside the hollowed grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Karters from all over North America and around the world ventured to Speedway, Indiana. Both Rob Howden and David Cole were part of the over 200 karters to competing around the 1-mile course that utilized portions of the IndyCar GP, Formula One courses, Hulman Boulevard, 7th Street and Harroun Drive. Kart racing returned to the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the first time in a decade. The World Karting Association hosted the Charlotte Motor Speedway Karting Challenge on June 21-23 at the famed Concord, North Carolina facility. Two events are hosted by the USAC Karting organization during the months of July and August. It’s the busy summer season, gearing up for the third edition of the Battle at the Brickyard held on July 5-7 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Elkhart Riverwalk Grand Prix on August 9-11.
