The EKN OutLap is a preview podcast show, geared at providing you with the top stories, breaking news, and championship battles going into the weekend.

The final event of the 2026 United States Pro Kart Series sends the program to the inaugural Lake Erie Grand Prix, visiting the Lorain Ohio KartPlex for the first time ever over the September 18-20 weekend. The Lorain, Ohio facility welcomes the fourth and final round of the 14th championship season. eKartingNews has launched a new program for social media and the EKN Radio Network - Face2Face. The show is broadcasted live over Facebook and YouTube, with the audio version making its way to the only 24 hour / 7 days a week radio station.

Episode 93 of Face2Face welcomes a returning guest to discuss a new event for the Pacific Northwest. The Cascadia Karting Cup is slated for October 2-4 at the Pat’s Acres Racing Complex in Canby, Oregon. FTK Promotions owner Andy Seesemann is putting on the event to help celebrate the fall season and one big race before the calendar turns over. Also joining the show is Aaron Neliton, owner of Neliton Race Concepts to provide insight as to why his operation will be part of the inaugural event the first weekend of October.

The eKartingNews Roundtable is a chance for a group of members from the karting community to discuss a topic with feedback from show viewers during the live podcast. Rob Howden and David Cole moderate the gathering panel of karting industry members.

The EKN Roundtable returns! After nearly two years away, the discussion-based show has found a new topic as we are near the end of the 2026 season – The Future of Masters Racing. The recent decline in numbers across the country at different levels of the sport, in addition to the near loss of Master Shifter at the SKUSA SuperNationals, is the center of the discussion, bringing together current Masters racers. Those joining the panel include Michael Dittmer, Matt Machiko, Paul Montopoli, and Mike Smith.

The second half of the 2026 United States Pro Kart Series begins this weekend with the running of the Ohio Grand Prix from the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati. The Batavia, Ohio facility will welcome karters over the August 7-9 weekend to compete in the eight race groups over the three days, completing the third round of the season championship. The fifth edition of the RMC Trophy Final was held over the July 31-August 2 weekend at the New Castle Motorsports Park. The New Castle, Indiana facility welcomed five Rotax Max Challenge categories and three FZ Shifter divisions for three days of competition that featured a battle against wet weather early on Saturday and overcast skies on Sunday. The big ticket of the weekend was six to the RMC Grand Finals in Portugal with entries awarded to podium finishers toward the SKUSA SuperNationals 29.
