The EKN Trackside Live program visits multiple events throughout the karting season. Leading up to major events on the calendar, EKN is happy to provide a show as part of the EKN Radio Network. The EKN OutLap is a preview podcast show, geared at providing you the top stories, breaking news, and championship battles going into the weekend.
This weekend is the Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals 4, the unofficial ‘Runoffs’ for Briggs & Stratton 206 racers in the United States. Over 300 entries in seven categories will do battle around the New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana on October 2-4, making it the largest Briggs event in the USA and around the world. This episode of the EKN OutLap - presented by Briggs & Stratton Racing - has Rob Howden and David Cole, breaking down the event.

The show is broadcasted live over Facebook, with the audio version making its way to the only 24 hour / 7 days a week radio station. Our 22nd episode brings back Greg Jasperson of the Cup Karts North America program. The organization that promoted Briggs & Stratton 206 racing in the Midwest is set to what will be the largest 4-Cycle event in North America and around the world. The CKNA Grand Nationals 4 will take place on October 2-4 at New Castle Motorsports Park. Jasperson gives us the details of the upcoming event in New Castle, Indiana.

The return of the US Rotax Grand Nationals was marked with the 2020 event held inside the Charlotte Motor Speedway on September 17-19. It was a historic event, with the branded event making a return for the first time since 2018 and also marking the first time at the Concord, North Carolina on the newly repaved circuit. Five Rotax Max Challenge categories battled for the Grand Nationals crown, in addition to a Pro 4 Cycle category for $1,000. Nine tickets were awarded on the weekend to drivers joining the Team USA squad for the 2020 Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal. For the first time since 2017, the United States Pro Kart Series hosted a race in the month of September. With the COVID-19 reschedule, the second event of the 2020 season was held at the CTECH Manufacturing Motorplex at Road America on September 4-6. It was the first visit for the USPKS at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin facility, welcoming the just over 160 entries in the seven IAME categories to contest the middle event of the championship chase. The United States Pro Kart Series continues their 2020 schedule, visiting the CTECH Manufacturing Motorplex at Road America on September 4-6. This is the first time the series has been to the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin facility in the eight-year history. The Superkarts! USA Pro Tour has condensed the entire 2020 season into two weekends at the New Castle Motorsports Park. The opening weekend was held on August 6-9 for the first three rounds on the ‘Super Mile’ and the final three rounds held on August 13-16 around the ‘Reverse National’ course. The 20th episode is a look at the new Stars & Stripes Trophy series with Race Rotax. A three-race program will award champions in Micro, Masters and Senior competition with tickets to the 2020 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Joining the show are the three track promoters hosting events; Devin Edwards of United Karting, Tony Goddard at Lafayette Motorsports Park, and Tim Hannen from Oakland Valley Race Park.
