Face2Face: EP88 – Roger Ruthhart – 2025 Rock Island Grand Prix

eKartingNews has launched a new program for social media and the EKN Radio Network - Face2Face. The show is broadcasted live over Facebook and YouTube, with the audio version making its way to the only 24 hour / 7 days a week radio station.

Episode 88 of Face2Face focuses on the 30th edition of the Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix, set for August 30-31. The downtown district of Rock Island, Illinois turns into a two-day karting festival, welcoming karters from all over the USA, Canada, and around the world to compete for the coveted Rock trophy. The 2025 edition celebrates the 30th running of the race, which returns to the original course after a year held in a different section of the city thanks to district receiving new development and improvements, highlighted by repaved streets. Rob Howden and David Cole welcome Roger Ruthhart – president of the Rock Island Grand Prix volunteer committee – along with special guests to discuss this year’s event.

EKN Debrief: Episode 153 – 2025 Superkarts! USA Pro Tour SummerNationals

The 2025 Superkarts! USA Pro Tour ended over the July 25-27 weekend with the SummerNationals contested at the New Castle Motorsports Park. The largest SummerNats in the history of SKUSA welcomed 301 entries over the eight categories on the weekend at the New Castle, Indiana facility, helping to decide this year’s SKUSA Pro Tour champions. The EKN Trackside Live program visits multiple events throughout the karting season. Leading up to major events on the calendar, EKN is happy to provide a show as part of the EKN Radio Network. The EKN OutLap is a preview podcast show, geared at providing you with the top stories, breaking news, and championship battles going into the weekend.

Championships will be decided this weekend at the New Castle Motorsports Park as the 2025 Superkarts! USA Pro Tour concludes. The New Castle, Indiana facility is set to host the SKUSA SummerNationals for the 11th straight time, welcoming a record-setting 300 entries over the eight categories. The second half of the 2025 United States Pro Kart Series is kicking off with the Wisconsin Grand Prix at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America. Over 200 entries in the seven IAME categories will compete at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin facility, as the series returns for its fourth visit since 2020. The 2025 Challenge of the Americas completed its 18th season, hosting its first ever event at the Burt Brothers Motorpark over the June 13-15 weekend. The trip to the Grantsville, Utah facility hosted Round Seven and Eight, deciding this year’s champions in the six categories. The addition to the event was the COTA Briggs 206 Shootout that provided a lot of excitement over the two days of racing. The series finale for the 2025 Challenge of the Americas heads to the Burt Brothers Motorpark over the June 13-15 weekend. The Grantsville, Utah facility welcomes the Challenge for the first time in the 18-year history of the series, hosting Round Seven and Round Eight. Six categories competing on the Shinko Racing Kart Tires will be joined by the Challenge Briggs 206 Shootout, racing for a $1,000 to win.
