The halfway point of the 2020 ROK Cup USA Challenge of the Americas was reached on the February 21-23 weekend at the CalSpeed Karting facility. Rounds Three and Four were contested at the Fontana, California circuit. Weather and incident delays played a big factor into the weekend, while a handful of drivers set themselves up for a run at the titles. Things are ROKKIN from coast-to-coast thus far in 2020. ROK Cup USA continues to expand its growth in the United States and North America with their ROK engine platform, international programs and local support of tracks in the west and in the east. Garett Potter of ROK Cup USA visited the CalSpeed Karting facility during the Challenge of the Americas event on February 21-23. Potter was put on the ‘hot seat’, joining Rob Howden and David Cole in the announcers booth for the new episode of the Industry Insider. The Florida Winter Tour finale, the 2020 ROK Fest events and the future of the karting are among the topics hit on during the discussion.

The EKN OutLap is a preview podcast show, geared at providing you the top stories, breaking news, and championship battles going into the weekend.
The ROK Cup USA Challenge of the Americas is hosting their middle event of the 2020 season, which is the focus of the seventh episode of the EKN OutLap - presented by Leading Edge Motorsports. Rounds Three and Four are scheduled for the CalSpeed Karting facility on February 22-23, reaching the halfway point of the premier winter series on the left coast. Rob Howden and David Cole preview the 10 categories competing in Fontana, California.

The 2020 Superkarts! USA Winter Series concluded during the February 7-9 weekend at the AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex presented by MG Tires. EKN was trackside throughout the weekend, covering the third and fourth rounds of the program in sunny southern Florida. The 2020 champions were decided after two days of tough, and hard-fought competition. Grassroots racing has become a focal point of EKN for the last number of years, as the sport’s path to success is reaching the masses at the local level. The spark surrounding the industry around the club and entry level events have also triggered bringing the sport to the people - including street races. One of the most historic of the sport here in the United States is the Quincy Grand Prix. What began in 1970, the rejuvenated race through Quincy, Illinois’ South Park is set for a third edition under the helm of karting hall of famer Terry Traeder. The karting legends talks with EKN’s Rob Howden in this edition of the Industry Insider to discuss the June 13-14 event, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Quincy Grand Prix.

The premier winter series on the left coast began its 13th season by welcoming over 100 entries to the Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, Arizona on January 24-26. It was a picture perfect weekend that saw great racing as usual around the 7/10-mile circuit.
