eKartingNews has launched a new program for social media and the EKN Radio Network - Face2Face. The show is broadcasted live over Facebook, with the audio version making its way to the only 24 hour / 7 days a week radio station. Episode 19 has EKN’s Rob Howden discuss the opening weekend of the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour Summer Festival with two drivers to land on top of the podium. Rolison Performance Group’s Bryson Morris talks about his four victories on the weekend in X30 Senior and KA100 Senior. Rory van der Steur gives us insight into the sweep by Magik Kart in the Pro Shifter division on the weekend.

The Superkarts! USA Pro Tour has condensed the entire 2020 season into two weekends at the New Castle Motorsports Park. The opening weekend was held on August 6-9 for the first three rounds on the ‘Super Mile’ and coming up will be the August 13-16 event for the final three rounds. Round Three was held on August 9, with the EKN duo of Rob Howden and David Cole recording a Debrief Live broadcast that evening. Get all the information from the third round in this podcast.

The EKN OutLap is a preview podcast show, geared at providing you the top stories, breaking news, and championship battles going into the weekend.
COVID-19 put an early end to the start of the 2020 Superkarts! USA Pro Tour in March during the WinterNationals. As the pandemic transpired, SKUSA had to adjust the 2020 program and came up with the unique opportunity to complete six rounds of racing in 10 days. The SKUSA Pro Tour Summer Festival was born, set to be held on August 6-9 for Rounds One, Two and Three with August 13-16 to hold Rounds Four, Five and Six, all at the New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana. This episode of the EKN OutLap - presented by Leading Edge Motorsports - has Rob Howden and David Cole, previews the two events on two different layouts in two back-to-back weekends.

The fourth annual USAC Karting Battle at the Brickyard was held on July 31-August 2 inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Karters from all over the country converged into the famed Brickyard for what is know penned as the largest club race in the USA. From Briggs to shifterkarts, all enjoyed three days of racing around a super-fast circuit, gunning for a Brick trophy to take home. 18 different divisions were welcomed at the event, reaching over 430 entries on the grounds. Rob Howden and David Cole were trackside, but unlike other events, as they each competed in two different categories on the weekend. They were still able to breakdown the event in this new episode of the ‘EKN Debrief’ - thanks to Briggs & Stratton Racing. They cover the Stilo USA Paddock Pass, followed by the Race Report presented by Comet Kart Sales. The EKN Trackside Live Race Calendar presented by IAME USA East completes the podcast.

For the first time in four months, EKN was trackside for an event amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The return trackside took the EKN Live program to the 2020 opener for the United States Pro Kart Series. The Hoosier State Grand Prix was held at the New Castle Motorsports Park on July 17-19, welcoming over 200 drivers to record the largest event of the eight year history for the program. Rob Howden and David Cole breakdown the weekend in this new episode of the ‘EKN Debrief’ - thanks to Acceleration Kart Racing. They cover the Alan Rudolph Racing Academy Paddock Pass, followed by the Race Report presented by Atlanta Motorsports Park. After a four week hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EKN Trackside Live is ready to return back home, basically our second home at the New Castle Motorsports Park for what is now the 2020 opener of the United States Pro Kart Series. After a cancellation of the opener in March and postponement for their event in June, the series kicks off the season at what was originally schedule as the season finale. A record-breaking 223 entries will compete on July 17-19 at the New Castle, Indiana facility. This episode of the EKN OutLap - presented by MG Tires - has Rob Howden and David Cole preview the seven IAME categories competing on the weekend.

The 11th episode of the ‘Happy Hour with Howden’ dates back 14 years ago. The EKN Radio Network dives into the ARCHIVES from July 8, 2006 as EKN was trackside for the Stars of Karting event at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. Saturday evening, the duo sat down in the hotel lobby following a busy day on track to welcome a number of guests and discuss the latest news in the sport. Six-time world karting champion Mike Wilson was among the guests, including Mike Giessen, Chris Lobaugh, Chris Wehrheim, and Matt Jaskol.

The EKN Radio Network continues to dive into the ARCHIVES for the ‘Happy Hour with Howden’ podcast. This episode takes us back to the start of the 2006 season, as the EKN crew attended the KMI Kart Show Expo in St. Charles, Illinois. A number of industry members and karters from all over North America and the world converged on the Pheasant Run Resort to introduce the new products for the season and network within the community. Super Kart Illustrated, the magazine for Howden Media Group at the time, held their annual SKI Awards for the 2005 season. Rob Howden and David Cole sit down to announce the winners for the following categories; Driver of the Year, Team of the Year, Rising Star, Young Driver of the Year, Road Racer of the Year, and Mechanic of the Year.
