The EKN Trackside Live program visits multiple events throughout the karting season. Leading up to major events on the calendar, EKN is happy to provide a show as part of the EKN Radio Network. The EKN OutLap is a preview podcast show, geared at providing you the top stories, breaking news, and championship battles going into the weekend.
This weekend, EKN will be trackside, minus the live portion. EKN Managing Editor David Cole will be at the World Karting Association Charlotte Motor Speedway Karting Challenge to cover the triple-header. The WKA programs for Road Racing, Manufacturers Cup Series, and Speedway Dirt Series will compete at the Concord, North Carolina facility, similar to what was done in the old North American Karting Championships event and what you see at Daytona KartWeek. The focus of the weekend coverage will be from the Road Racing Series, with photos and videos from Man. Cup and Dirt. This episode of the EKN OutLap - presented by Briggs & Stratton Racing - has Cole and Rob Howden discuss what the weekend will bring with the three different programs.

The 14th season for Challenge of the Americas presented by Royce & Baxter concluded over the March 26-28 weekend at the Sonoma Raceway. Over 100 competitors traveled to the Sonoma, California for Round Five and Six of the championship chase, with 10 title winners decided following the last two days of competition for the west coast winter series. David Cole and Rob Howden breakdown the weekend in this new episode of the ‘EKN Debrief’ - thanks to Alan Rudolph Racing Academy. It was a chance to finish what was started over a year ago. In March 2020, the fourth running of the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour WinterNationals came to a halt due to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Competitors returned home from the NOLA Motorsports facility not knowing the future of the program, the sport, and the world. SKUSA returned to the Avondale, Louisiana facility on March 26-28 to begin the 2021 season for the SKUSA Pro Tour, welcoming over 200 entries in nine categories. Rob Howden and David Cole breakdown the weekend in this new episode of the ‘EKN Debrief’ - thanks to OTK USA. The 12th season of the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour begins this weekend at the NOLA Motorsports. The fourth edition of the WinterNationals visits the Avondale, Louisiana facility for the third time, dating back to the inaugural event in 2017. The United States Pro Kart Series kicked off the 2021 season with the Southern Grand Prix at the Ocala Gran Prix facility. A series-record of 293 entries in the seven IAME categories gathered at the Ocala, Florida circuit, starting the ninth season of the program off with perfect racing conditions and for the first time, LCQ races to help narrow down the larger fields. eKartingNews has launched a new program for social media and the EKN Radio Network - Face2Face. The show is broadcasted live over Facebook, with the audio version making its way to the only 24 hour / 7 days a week radio station.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the World Karting Association, one of the longest standing organizations in United States karting. In just one month, the organization will return to the Charlotte Motor Speedway on April 14-16 for the next events of the Manufacturers Cup Series, Road Racing Series, and Speedway Dirt Series programs. In this Face2Face episode, EKN’s Rob Howden sits down with President Kevin Williams and Chairman of the Board Mike Tetreault to discuss the state of WKA, along with the upcoming event.

A record turnout is schedule for the 2021 United States Pro Kart Series presented by MG Tires. The pre-entry total for the weekend at the Ocala Gran Prix is at 287 for the seven IAME categories. The total in Ocala, Florida is a new record for the program, set to begin its ninth season. The latest episode of Face2Face welcomed Shawn Bayliff. The longtime karter joined EKN’s Rob Howden for a discussion on the upcoming season for all of Bayliff’s companies. His Trinity Karting Group shop and race team are preparing for their first event of the 2021 season with the United States Pro Kart Series and Superkarts! USA Pro Tour on the horizon. Bayliff is now entering the second year as co-owner of Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati facility in southwestern Ohio, with major plans of expansion started and continuing this season. Combine all that with the new track series - the ProAm Karting Championship - that will host eight events in 2021.
